Department of Political Science & International Relation

Department of Political Science and International Relations envisions providing the excellent skill-based and research-based education to the women of Pakistan. It envisages enabling and transforming them into competent political scientists, leaders, bureaucrats, researchers, academicians, diplomats, and political decision makers. Providing solution-based approach through research based-knowledge, the department endeavors to cater the national and international requirements by capacitating human capital in contributing to Pakistan’s knowledge-based economy.

The mission of the department is to contribute to the socio-political and socio-economic development of Pakistan through enlightened and educated women. To this end, the department aims to provide inter-disciplinary knowledge and relevant opportunities to the field, through its internship program, to the students. Enabling indigenous women and contributing to intellectualism of the region for the progress and prosperity of national and international milieus is the utmost ambition of this department.

To fulfill the following objectives is the immediate priority of our department.

• Reducing gender-gap in the fields of politics, international relations, foreign policy, and peace and security.
• Disseminating civic and political awareness among students through scientific, analytical, and research-based knowledge.
• Enabling women to be productive members of Pakistani state and society through inter-disciplinary knowledge and skills.
