“7th Regional Students Mathematical Olympiad” organized by BZU Multan
Congratulations to Department of Mathematics The Women University Multan got 1st position in poster representation and 2nd position in screening test and won 3 prizes during the “7th Regional Students Mathematical Olympiad” organized by BZU Multan on 31/03/2022. Altogether 18 universities/colleges participated in this competition.
The 8 students of the Department of Mathematics, WUM participated in this Olympiad. The focal persons (Dr. Kiran, Dr. Anum, Miss Zill e Shams and Miss Rafia Bashir), attended this competition.
The structure of the Olympiad consisted of 5 different types of mathematical games.
Alhamdulillah! WUM got the following successes in this mega event and got the maximum prizes as compared with every other institution. Details are given below:
1) WUM got 8th positions in Game-1 of the individual competition.
2) WUM got 2nd position in Game-2 of a single championship by our student Humaira Yasmeen and won cash prize
3) WUM got 1st position in the Game-5 poster competition and our student Asia Asghar won the prize of poster competition. The title of poster was “Role of Mathematical Models in Aquaponics”.
