The programs offered here envision the provision of solid foundations in Literature and Linguistics to hone their critical thinking and research skills through analysis and the application of theories to issues in Linguistics/Literature specifically relevant to Pakistan. The courses aspire not only to sharpen students’ command on specific topics but also theoretical issues. Moreover, general courses related to communication skills and technical reading and writing skills seek to fulfill their socio-cultural and economic demands. The interdisciplinary approach to knowledge opted by the faculty can be witnessed in their alliance with programs such as Women’s Studies, Gender Studies, Socio-Cultural and Cross-Cultural Studies.
