General Rules

  • Application for admission to the hostel should be made in the prescribed form, which can be had from the hostel office.
  • A responsible person, parent/ guardian who will comply with the formalities and procedures for admission must accompany the candidate.
  • No student will be allowed to stay in the hostel without formal admission.
  • The hostel administration may refuse admission to any member without assigning reasons.
  • Every student before admission to the hostel must give an undertaking in writing that she will follow the rules and regulations of the hostel during her stay. This shall be confirmed in writing by the parent/ guardian also in the attached declaration from.
  • All charges/ expenses prescribed in the application form or any other documents are subject to change without notice.
  • Admission to the hostel cannot be claimed as a matter of right.
  • At the time of admission to the hostel, every hostelite parent/ guardian must provide a list of visitors (prescribed form) giving details regarding name, designation, and relationship to the student concerned. This list must be signed by the parents/ guardian and accompanied by the photocopy of CNIC and specimen signatures of the visitors on the list which should not exceed four.
  • Visitors include only family members i.e., Mother, Father, Brother, and Sisters. Any other relative is not allowed on the visitor’s list.
  • Married students are not allowed.

Hostel Occupancy Rules & Regulations

  • Allotment of rooms may not necessarily be of one’s choice. Once allotted, the rooms will generally not be changed unless it is for maintenance of discipline or other such necessity, on the decision of the management.
  • Allotment is generally done on a shared (Six or eight persons per room) basis.
  • Students must occupy the rooms allotted to them and should not exchange rooms without the knowledge of the concerned warden.
  • The wardens may shift students from one room to another without assigning any reason.
  • Students are advised not to keep expensive jewellery, heavy cash or any other valuables in their rooms. The hostel management does not own any responsibility for the loss of property left in the rooms due to the student’s negligence.
  • Students are not allowed to keep any electrical appliance in their rooms without prior written permission of the hostel management. Any electrical appliance found in the hostel room will be treated as in use of the concerned student. Any violation to the rule results in heavy fine.
  • Hostel administration will not entertain any complaint regarding theft of Cell phones, Laptops, etc.
  • If you plan to have your own fixtures/appliances like extra fan, room cooler etc, these will be extra charged provided you are allowed by the administration to have these in your hostel room:
    1) Fan Rs 150 per month
    2) Air Cooler Rs 500 per month
  • If any student wants to go out to their city / hometown on weekends, they should submit a proforma to the hostel office indicating the date on which they want to go with time of leaving the hostel and expected time of return. Violation of this rule will result in expulsion from the hostel.
  •  If any student wants to go out to the city / hometown on weekends on self-basis, they should submit a visitor’s card to the warden indicating the name, phone number, CNIC to whom with the students are allowed to go. Hostelites should also write their names in the register intended for the purpose, giving time of leaving & expected time of return. Violation of this rule will result in heavy fine/ expulsion from the hostel.
  • Any students who will violate the hostel rules and found involved in any negative activity like strikes or initiate other hostelites for this purpose will render her liable to disciplinary punishment.
  • Guest is not permitted to stay overnight in the hostel.

Entry/ Exit To/ From Hostels

  1. Hostel check out form has to be submitted at the hostel gate to the security guards and students should sign the register (Entry/ Exit) with date and time leaving the
  1. Similarly, check in form has to be submitted to the hostel security guard while checking in to the hostel as per rules. This form is available with the hostel

Medical Assistance

  1. Cases of serious illness and diseases should be reported immediately to the concerned Supritendent for necessary action. During working hours (8:30am – 04:30pm) students can go to the MO Office for
  1. After working hours or during night time, students are expected to contact the hostel supritendent if any medical help is required. An ambulance/ Rescue 1122 is available on campus/ or called 24 hours to transport students to hospital and back if any emergency

Behaviour and Discipline

  1. Hostelites are expected to display acceptable form of behavior, maintain discipline and decorum in the
  1. Students should not arrange any function, meeting, or religious gathering within the hostel without the prior and written permission of the
  1. Hostelites are not allowed to stay in the hostel during University (Classes) hours i.e., from 09:00 am to 01:00 pm.
  1. Hostelites are not allowed to make any complaint as a Individual complaints, addressed to the warden will be looked into.
  1. If you are facing any difficulty adjusting with your roommate and unable to resolve the issue, the matter must be reported to the administration immediately. Students are expected to act with maturity and not involve your parents or guardians, in minor

Mess Rules

  1. Once a student joins the hostel, she is supposed to have become a member of the allotted mess until she vacates the hostel
  1. Food will not be served in rooms and students are not allowed to take their breakfast, lunch and dinner in their rooms. Violation of this rule will result in strict disciplinary action (in the form of fine) or either expulsion from the hostel.
  1. Strict discipline should be maintained in the dining
  1. Students should sign the Mess Joining Register kept in the mess at the time of their joining the mess.
  1. Students should sign the Mess Leaving Register kept in the messes whenever they leave the mess. Otherwise they will be considered to be present and charged
  1. Menu will be displayed on the notice board. Changes can be made based on decision of mess committee formed by the student’s representatives and
  1. Wasting food is a crime. No diner shall waste food. Paying mess bill does not entitle a diner to waste If any student is found wasting food she will be fined Rs.500/- for the first time. If the same student is found repeating the same mistake she will be expelled from the hostel.
