Dr. Sadaf Mahmood (currently working as an Associate Professor of Sociology and additionally, providing her services as Director of Career Counselling & Alumni Affairs, at the Women University Multan) was born in Faisalabad, Pakistan. She completed her M.Sc. in Rural Sociology from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad in 2010 and started her professional career as a lecturer at the Government College University Faisalabad in 2011. In 2016, obtained her Ph.D. degree from Germany under Faculty Development Program (FDP) Overseas scholarships. During her stay in Germany, she worked as a volunteer co-lecturer in the seminar on “Labour Mobility, Migration, and Rural Development” which was offered in the framework of a master’s program jointly taken by the University of Kassel and the University of Gottingen, Germany, in the summer terms 2012 and 2013 and the course of “Development Economics” over the winter term 2014. She worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, at Government College University Faisalabad, and being an HEC-approved supervisor; she supervised above 30 M.Phil. and 3 Ph.D. research students. The additional assignments of Program Team Member (PTM) of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) at GCUF, the member of the Board of Studies, Department of Sociology, GCUF, and Career Counselling Officer for Women” at GCUF are also on her credit. She was working as Deputy Director (Career Counselling and Alumni Affairs) at GCUF. In 2023, she joined. The Women University Multan as an Associate Professor of Sociology and additionally, providing her services as Director of Career Counselling & Alumni Affairs, the Women University Multan Her research work has been published in several national and international journals. She has presented some valuable pieces of her research at national and international conferences and participated in several symposiums and workshops as a resource person and completed an HEC research project as well while a team member of several international projects.
