Stress is a normal part of life for everyone. But too much stress can have serious consequences for your health. Overexposure to cortisol and other stress hormones can increase your risk of obesity, digestive problems, insomnia, heart disease, depression, memory impairment, and physical illness. Everyone responds to stress differently so it’s important to know what stresses you out and how to handle it. A workshop on Stress Management Skills was organized by the Counselling and Wellness Centre, The Department of Applied Psychology at The Women University, Multan. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Anwar Baig (Psychiatrist) and Ms. Azbah Naz (clinical psychologist) Spring Clinic, Multan. This workshop provided practical tips and techniques to help students and faculty to achieve mental well-being and better health through the effective management of distress.
