Counselling and Well-Being Centre


Counselling and Well-Being Centre at The Women University Multan aims to provide counseling services to students and staff with issues including anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, obsessive behaviors, trauma, performance anxiety, exam anxiety, bereavement, adjustment difficulties, substance use, bullying, harassment, and concerns interfering with study, work, or relationships. Our dedicated team of counselors and psychologists provides services to assist their clients in identifying problems and triggering events, developing alternatives, finding solutions, and making lasting changes in their life. The Centre also organizes psychoeducational seminars, webinars, workshops, and training to promote mental health awareness, built resilience, and maintain a state of positive mental well-being of both students and staff. All students and staff who wish to seek an appointment for counseling are required to put in a request via email.

Vision

The Counselling and Well-Being Centre strives to deliver effective support for mental health concerns, personal issues, and difficulties to students, faculty, and staff, as part of a whole university approach to promote student and staff mental health and well-being. Our dedicated team of counselors and psychologists provide services to create a collaborative environment from which students can learn empowering ways to nurture good mental health and enhance their physical, psychological, social, and spiritual well-being.

Mission

To deliver confidential, sympathetic, nonjudgmental, and timely counseling services, which support students and staff to engage with university life and contribute to society as fully functioning individuals. To achieve these goals, we provide high-quality counseling services, psycho-educative support, and therapeutic interventions in a professional, safe, ethical, and compassionate environment.

Objectives of the Center

  • Provide assessment and counseling services to students and staff to deal with mental and emotional health problems and life challenges.
  • To develop meaningful behavior changes and suggest useful coping strategies for navigating problems and improving mental well-being.
  • Provide a supportive, secure, comfortable, confidential, and non-judgmental environment for conducting counseling and therapeutic sessions.

To conduct workshops, seminars, webinars, and training programs to enhance positive psychological capacities and resilience of students and staff.
