Centre for Professional Development (CPD)


Centre of Professional Development (CPD) was established in January 2022 under the initiative of The Women University Multan leadership to provide continuous professional development and continuous skill enhancement opportunities to faculty/researchers and professionals of various universities and institutions; thus, enabling them to acquire knowledge, professional skills, and expertise to maximize their productivity and efficiency. Vice-Chancellor has assigned the additional duty as Director of Centre for Professional Development to Ms. Nosheen Aziz (Lecturer, Institute of Management Sciences) upon recommendation of 15th Academic Council held on 09-11-2022 and 31st meeting of syndicate held on 12-01-2022. The Centre for Professional Development (CPD) serves as a hub for professionals to enhance their competencies in the fields of teaching, innovation and research, administration, and good governance through continuous professional development programs and workshop series in line with 21st-century requirements.

To support professionals in their pursuit of excellence through creating a conducive learning environment that fosters individual growth and the highest ethical and professional standards.

Mission

The mission of the Centre for Professional Development is to provide opportunities and resources for continuous professional development and growth. In addition, CPD aims to develop a supportive network and collaboration with other national and international institutions and organizations to transfer and mobilize knowledge of good practices and research findings that are beneficial for professionals and researchers.

Objectives of the Center

To achieve its mission, CPD will work

  • To plan and support the continuous professional development of faculty/researchers/administrative staff/professionals through various training, workshops, etc.
  • To liaise with other national and international institutions for learning and knowledge sharing through various professional development courses.
  • To organize interactive sessions for professional learning and sharing and develop a resource database.
  • To cater to capacity development programs organized by external stakeholders (both national and international).
  • Continuously engage in upgrading, re-skilling, and ensuring dynamism in a fast-changing and interdependent world for creating a practical learning experience
