Pro-Rector (Planning & Resources)
Maj Gen Jahangir Khan, HI(M), (Retd), was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 1977. He is a graduate of Command & Staff College Quetta, Fort Leavenworth, USA and National Defence University, Islamabad. Has held varied command and staff appointments, which include Command of two Infantry Battalions, a Brigade, and an Infantry Division.
He remained on the faculty of all major institutions of the Pakistan Army, including School of Infantry & Tactics, Command & Staff College and National Defence University, Islamabad. On the academic side, General has a BSc (Hons) degree in War Studies from Balochistan University and Master’s degree in Defence and Strategic Studies (Quaid-e-Azam University).
He is married, with a daughter and two sons, all three of them are proudly serving in the Army. He is fond of reading, hunting, gardening and golf. He assumed the office of the Pro-Rector (P&R) WUM in May 2018.
