The department of English is the backbone of The Women University with its unique features such as its different literary societies that enhance the literary and language skills of the students and introduces them to rich literature. Dramatic Society and Art & Culture society are working with the same mission. These societies had successfully organized different events and International and National days International Women’s Day and World Philosophy Day. Society of Arts and Culture enacted a play on World Philosophy Day “The Trial & Death of Socrates” which was highly acclaimed by the audience. Along with the academic achievements the department has successfully executed events like World Philosophy Day, World Poetry Day, and “Maan Boli Bol” on International Day of Mother Languages to create awareness and love for native languages.
